Hair Care: Beauty and Botanicals

Image
These days there are alternatives to hair color that may be toxic or harsh on your hair.  There are times in your life that all natural matters. If you're pregnant or nursing, you can't be using toxic chemicals on your hair or scalp. Also, as you age you want to prevent harshness causing you any hair loss. And studies have shown that toxic hair chemicals can increase your changes of breast cancer. I tried a salon that uses Kevin Murphy color; mine applied was chocolate brown with red highlights.  It's all natural: made with pomegranate, honey, rosehip, botanicals derived color. It smells wonderful while it's being applied. And who doesn't love flowers! Who knew they could be incorporated in safe, lush hair colors... I actually like winter but I know skin needs more care during this season. When it gets bitter, say 20 degrees, in the teens, or single digit days outside - skin needs moisture and to stay hydrated. This winter I'll let you know of different products that help keep your skin happy. I'm waiting for my samples of Rejuvenique; oil for skin care. Parents would probably love the Junior Line too because it’s naturally based, vegan, gluten free, non toxic and all that good jazz.. They offer hair care and skincare products. Don't forget - your skin everywhere: neck, chest, hands, feet, legs. It may be covered up in winter but it still needs attention.
